Quincy started preschool (daycare) last Monday at R-Kids (provided by IHC for employees) She seems to really enjoy teacher Brittney. Eleanor is still at home during the day with Brandon. Norah is to the point in her life that she likes to take her diaper off at any time of day (usually in her crib after we have put her to bed). Last weekend I went in to her room to get her up in the morning and found her with her diaper off and poop smeared all over her face, torso, bedsheets, crib slats-- it was terrible! I should have taken pictures but was irritated enough that I just went and dropped her in the tub for a good washing. YUCK! She's also getting very vocal, opinionated, and her vocabulary grown every day-- crazy how fast they grow!
Another funny, Quincy is afraid of flies (why she's not nervous about spiders, mosquitos, or other insects, I don't know). Today there was a fly in our kitchen-- Quincy says, "Mommy, will you freak it out!!?" and then ran around the kitchen with a fly swatter trying to "sccwitch" it. -- I don't know where the "freak out" came from though-- just shows they are sponges!

A few more pics from our vacation

We're back!

Well, we're back and we found the girls safe and sound and in good hands with Sarah when we got home. (for pics of THEIR adventures while we were gone, see Sarah and Amber's page in the "haslams friends" section.) Brandon and I had a great time visiting Hollywood, San Diego, Catalina Island, and Ensenada. I think our favorite spot was catalina island because we actually did an excursion while we were there-- snorkeling. It was SO COOL! Anyway, here's some pics. B and I decided that if we ever do a cruise again-- we'd prefer to go with at least a few other people we know. Its just hard to entertain each other for that long, every minute of every day without any other friends or family around! Enjoy the pics!

Brandon and I are anxiously awaiting our cruise. We set sail on Memorial Day and are so excited! Thank you Pres. Bush for the economy stimulus check! :) Brandon told me yesterday though that he wished we had another child born last year so that our check was for even more. Yeah... hahahahahaha! 3 kids under 3 right now? I don't think that would be good for my psyche!

We set sail from Los Angeles, and then port in San Diego, Catalina Island, and Ensanada Mexico before returning on Friday morning. I think it will be fun but I wish I could find a good "cocktail dress" in my size-- I guess that is what I get for being fat! :)

Sarah and Kristen, you guys are life savers for being willing to care for the girls while B and I are gone. My mom said she was willing to help anytime as well while we are gone-- so anytime you need a break!! You guys are GREAT!! We love you! (I'll try to have my house clean before we leave so you're not swimming through all the clutter!)

ETD: 2 days!

Well, that was short lived. Brandon and I decided to get a puppy because we thought the girls would enjoy it. Eleanor always goes crazy when she hears a dog bark and everything. So, on April 26th we got a german shorthair/lab mix-- she was 6 weeks old. It took about a week of attempting to housetrain and keeping the girls from killing the dog (Eleanor's favorite past-time was carrying the dog around with one arm under its front legs and the other strangling it) before he was ready to find the dog a new home. So, this evening- MEG went to a friend's house to grow up-- too bad I couldn't see this coming and already pre-paid for all her vet visits for the first 4 months.... :) I guess I should have known.
