So this picture was taken a few months ago by Brandon's sister (Sarah), but it still makes me laugh. Wouldn't you hate to be the person who this look is directed to?

Benjamin's Blessing

We blessed Benjamin and Jaxen both on June 14th. Brandon blessed them in our Sacrament Mtg. then we had some lunch with family afterward. It was good times... unfortunately, I never got pictures (on my camera, anyway) or both Jaxen and Benjamin together, or of the scores of people who came to support us. Thank you all-- it was a great day! I think Benjamin looks pretty handsome in his suit. I made his little outfit (minus the white shirt) and was very glad with how well it turned out! (Thanks for your help, Mom!)

We thought these pictures of Benjamin and Jaxen were hilarious. Kris brought Jaxen over for a few minutes yesterday and happened to arrive during one of Benjamin's awake periods. We love his smiles!! He looks so much like Brandon it is amazing!

One Month Benjamin

I feel like I double post most things between this blog and my facebook page... But I guess they serve two different purposes as well. Benjamin is growing quickly and really is a pretty mellow little boy. I love him to pieces. I'm anticipating smiles in the next few weeks!

"Our Life": The musical

For the past while Quincy has become our little songbird, singing pretty much any song she has heard more than twice and many that she makes up words to a familiar tune. Recently Brandon and I have noticed that she is CONSTANTLY singing.... about going to the bathroom, about getting dressed, about playing in the backyard, about eating food, about fighting with Eleanor, (you get the point). One of Quincy's favorite tunes is the theme song to "WONDER PETS"-- A few days ago Brandon discovered that if he sang one line of the song, Quincy would sing the next... even making up a song, Brandon could sing one line and Quincy would follow with her own line while continuing the melody. It wasn't until yesterday however that Brandon discovered that he was only allowed to sing certain lines of the melody... when he attempted to make up words using "Quincy's" part of the song, she stopped him and said, "Hey, that's my part!"

Eleanor is also a singer.... however, she sings mostly Disney songs. The most entertaining song to watch her sing "I'll make a man out of you" from Mulan... she looks and sounds so intense and even angry when she sings it... its funny!

So, Benjamin had his first bath. He didn't seem to mind it too much, but he's such a mellow baby I would have been surprised if he didn't like it. Bathing babies is fun, but takes more than two hands to do it well.

Happy Birthday Brandon!

Today Brandon is officially 31 (and kinda bummed about it). My mom was nice enough to offer to come over and watch the girls for a little while so we could go out. We didn't do anything terribly exciting...we went to JCPenney's to try and find some new pants (unsuccessfully) and then we went to Cold Stone for some overpriced ice cream.... It was nice to get out, but I'm officially a boring wife-- I didn't even come up with birthday bash for my wonderful husband. Happy birthday anyway!
