So Brandon is on his way to Logan to help Brant and Camia move and me and the girls get to have a weekend together... tonight we are watching "Ariel's Beginning" I'm very excited! :)

The pregnancy is going well. We don't know the gender of the baby, we like to wait until the birth, so not a whole lot of "blue" or "pink" buying frenzies going on. We are still having a hard time deciding on names. Brandon seems to like a few that I don't like a whole lot, and vice versa-- so the search continues. I took my glucose tolerance test at my last OB appt. and it came back negative, so I do not have gestational diabetes.... Hooray!

Yesterday was GNO with the Chickletts. We went to Los Hermanos and celebrated Melissa Peterson and my birthdays and went to see Bride Wars.-- It was a good show to go see with girlfriends, I'm sure Brandon wouldn't have been very entertained. Its always nice to get out with good friends!

Dolts - Another Quincy quote

Last night as I was lying in bed with Quincy, Brandon came by to "see what was going on". Quincy asked, "Daddy, what are you thinking about."
Brandon, rolling his eyes: "I'm thinking you spend too much time with adults"
Quincy, "Yeah, I spend too much time with dolts."

Another Quincy quote

Brandon and I were discussing parenting styles and tactics and getting overall frustrated by the behavior of our two children and the lack of control we often feel we have when Quincy rounded the corner of the kitchen (with hands on hips and nose in the air) and exclaimed, "MINE is a REAL talent, huphmm!" (It's from "TINKERBELL")

Brandon and I couldn't help but laugh at the way her comment was so well timed.

What a fabulous talent-- to be able to drive your parents insane!

Laundry Day

So this is what happens when you do laundry with a 3 year old. She asked me "What is this?" and then "Can I wear it?" She is such a big girl.

Too much Disney?

The other day I came home from work. At some point in the evening Quincy was being scolded. She promptly put her hands on her hips, looked me straight in the eye, and said, "I'm sixteen years old, I'm not a child!"

I think "Little Mermaid" will disappear for awhile.

New Years

yes, so I realize it has been MONTHS since I last posted... pretty sad, I know. I'll do better in 2009. Can I use that as a resolution? Here are pics of some "recent" happenings in the Haslam life.
